The story behind
the name.
Frank David Monroe, professionally known as Khing Jus Wurk, is an American actor, recording artist, songwriter, model, author and podcast host from Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York.
Based in the Atlanta area, Monroe works across screen performance, original music and personal storytelling. His creative practice brings together physical discipline and the search for a voice.
He studied acting and improvisation at the Lisa Maile School of Acting and Modeling in Winter Park, Florida, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University in 2016. His physical-performance training includes LA Stunts, ATL Stunts and mixed martial arts at The Jungle MMA in Orlando.1
Alongside acting and music, he is the author of Shattered Control: Part One and host of I Am Talking: Black Talk Podcast. His work explores resilience, belonging and family.
